I have subjected my husband to my good nature and we now foster dogs. We have fostered for Operation Kindness (operationkindness.org) and now we are fostering for Adopt A Husky of Dallas (adoptahusky.org).
Our first foster pups were two cute puppies from Operation Kindness that needed some socialization. We did that and more. We had them giving us kisses in no time. They went back to the shelter in about a little over a week and were immediately adopted.
Our next foster was Nitrous. We did not like her name for a girl, so we renamed her Nina. She was also very shy coming from an owner surrender. We had her for about a month and then she was adopted to a great young man. She was very sweet and we were sad to see her go.
Now we have Gifford, he is a husky mixed with maybe a bulldog. He looks like a big teddy bear. He acts like one too. He had been in Adopt A Husky's shelter for about 3 months and we just wanted to give him a break from the heat and solitude. He gets along great with all our dogs and the playing never ends.
